After attending several yearly Boston Vegetarian Festivals, Marie became interested in helping out with the festival's print advertising. She initially volunteered to help out with the show program, but there was an immediate need for help with the numerous print and subway ads that run in advance of the festival. From there it snowballed into helping out with all of the print ads, the official festival T-shirt design, flyers, etc.

Marie continues to help out the BVS with much of their print advertising, and that has grown to helping out with 2011's new subway ad campaign. The subway posters can be seen on the red orange and green lines, as well as on some MBTA buses.
